Founded in the summer of 2022, Sacred Heart Films aims to provide overlooked and underrepresented members of the LGBTQ+ community with opportunities to foster the creation of engaging, entertaining, and culturally significant pieces, one project at a time. As of now, our work with assisting directors during their pitch processes - for commercials, and film or television projects - has established us as a go-to company for the creation of stunning visual treatments. Previous commercial clients have included Nintendo, PetSmart, Maker's Mark, Samsung, and others. Our treatments have also aided in the development of creative film projects like On The Come Up, Blacksite, and Gina Prince-Bythewood's The Woman King.
Currently, Sacred Heart Films is raising funds for the follow-up to Devon O'Kane’s award-winning web series, Handsome.

I come from “the 6.” - yeah, Drake’s now famous way of saying “Toronto”.
Devon O’Kane (he/him) is an LA-based Black Queer filmmaker and multi-hyphenate from Toronto, Canada. Armed with a BA in Radio and Television from Toronto Metropolitan University, Devon's journey in production has taken him from Toronto to New York, and ultimately to LA. His work as a director has included numerous short films and music videos, and as an actor, Devon can be seen in a number of projects and high-profile commercials. In 2021, Devon’s web series Handsome garnered acclaim on the festival circuit, securing numerous official selections and awards for both acting and directing. The year after, Devon established his own production company, Sacred Heart Films, with a commitment to produce films amplifying the voices of queer people of color in cinema. Currently, he is actively engaged in securing funds for the upcoming second season of Handsome.
